tataTurkey Bacon and Broccoli Frit
A frittata is a fantastic way to use up leftovers and makes for a quick and easy dinner. By adding turkey bacon and broccoli, you create a well-rounded meal that’s packed with protein and vegetables.
Ingredients :
6 slices of oven-baked turkey bacon, chopped
1 cup steamed broccoli florets
6 large eggs
¼ cup milk or cream
½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
1 small onion, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh chives for garnish
Instructions :
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a cast-iron skillet or oven-safe pan with a little olive oil or butter.
- In the skillet, sauté the chopped onion until softened. Add the steamed broccoli and chopped turkey bacon and stir to combine.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs, milk or cream, salt, and pepper together. Pour the egg mixture over the broccoli and turkey bacon in the skillet.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the top.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh chives and serve hot.
